Anastasia has applied her lifelong studies of the Golden Ratio to create techniques and makeup products based on universal standards of beauty.
As a child, Anastasia helped her parents run a tailor shop. It was there that she first became acquainted with proportions and how they apply to the human body.
Once in college, Anastasia furthered her knowledge of proportions with studies in architecture, engineering, drawing, and mathematics. She learned of the Fibonacci sequence, as well as Leonardo Da Vinci’s drawings and studies of the Golden Ratio [denoted by the Greek letter (‘phi’)], as it applies to Man and Nature.
She first focused her studies on a “Golden Ratio” face— that is, a face that display Golden Ratio proportions such as these: Distance from Top-of-the-head to Chin divided by Width-of-head = ; Length-of-Lips divided by Width-of-Nose = ; Outside distance between Eyes divided by Length-of-Lips = ; etc. It was during this time that Anastasia discovered that an eyebrow could be shaped according to the Golden Ratio by establishing three precise points: one that lies on an imaginary line running vertically through the middle of the nostril; the High Point on the eyebrow arch, which can be found on a line connecting the tip of the nose to the center of the iris; and finally the point that lies on a line running through the edge of the corresponding nostril through the outer edge of the eye. The High Point divides the eyebrow arch in precisely the Golden Ratio.
Research trips to Paris, Florence, Rome, and Egypt exposed Anastasia to seminal works of Art and Science and enforced her views of the Golden Ratio as a universal standard of beauty.
While perfecting her craft at various beauty salons in Beverly Hills, Anastasia made numerous trips to the library for research pertaining to proportions of the human face, and the eyebrows in particular.
Through further research and practice at her own salon in Beverly Hills, Anastasia realized that in many cases the proportions of the human face deviate slightly from the Golden Ratio, so she started to look for a way to shape the eyebrows in relation to one’s particular facial features. With this in mind, Anastasia perfected an eyebrow shaping technique whereby the Golden Ratio could be used as a guideline to aesthetically enhance the features of any face, according to its particular facial proportions and types of eyebrow arch (such as Petite Arch, Slim High Arch, Medium Arch, or High Arch).

"Geometry had two great treasures: one is the theorem of Pythagoras, the other the division of a line into mean and extreme ratios, that is, the Golden Mean. The first way may be compared to a measure of gold, the second to a precious jewel."
Johannes Kepler (1571-1630)
"Man is the measure of all things."
Heraclitus (540-480 BC)
"In the spiral of the Nautilus the whorls continually increase in breadth, and so on in a steady and unchanging ratio... so that the figure may be conceived as growing continuously without ever changing its shape the while."
Sir D'Arcy W. Thomson (1860-1948)
